Stills: A Weekly Collection
1. Baked oatmeal. Who knew? I make porridge all the time, but it never occurred to me to bake it. Used this recipe by orangette, substituting the blueberries and walnuts with frozen raspberries, hazelnuts and macadamias.
2. Afternoon tea turns silly!*
3. Raindrops on the single bromeliad flower.
4. Washing.
Linking up with the lovely Em.
*That gorgeous freckle teatowel (being used as a spill soaker) is by yardage design, I was lucky enough to win it and a couple of other goodies last year in a giveaway from Christina Lowry Designs. A small belated thanks Christina and Nic.

A flower panel
I've been slowly, lazily, sporadically embroidering on this aimless, slightly psychedelic, slightly kitsch project. I think the progress has been so slow as I'm not even sure what this panel will become. Ideas?

Calmsley Hill City Farm
As Oscar ran towards a particularly aggressive goat, Nora started mimicking a rather hungry one, on all fours, eating hay off the ground. So went our visit to Calmsley Hill. One of the lovely ladies in my mothers group organised a special farm outing for our monthly catch-up. It was chaotic, but wonderful.
Oscar got to milk a cow. We all enjoyed a tractor ride. Oscar did end up getting knocked over by a goat, but to everyone's surprise, he just brushed himself off and said, 'I'm ok'. There was too much fun to be had to dwell on injuries!

In my great-great grandma's scrapbook
A stash of letters, all from grandchildren, spanning 30 odd years, (approx. 1910-1940). All saved away, in a book amongst newspaper clippings and the odd photograph. The middle letter, in cursive writing on blue paper, was written by my grandmother Margaret.
